Roger Kent papers, 1981.

The papers consist of an oral history typescript entitled, "Building the Democratic Party in California, 1954-1966," containing interviews with Roger Kent conducted by Anne H. Brower and Amelia R. Fry in 1976 and 1977. The volume was compiled and published by the Regional Oral History Office, The Bancroft Library, University of California, Berkeley, in 1981.

Roger Kent was born in Chicago, on June 8, 1906. He was the son of William and Elizabeth Kent. His father served in Congress between 1910 and 1917. Roger was prepared for college at the Thatcher School and graduated from Yale College in 1928. He stayed in New Haven after graduation, attending Yale Law School, from which he graduated in 1931.
